Sylvia Quispe is the founder of Spheni Switzerland and founder of QAS Switzerland GmbH. Born into a family with a background in gemstone trading and a cutting workshop, her passion for gemstones was sparked in her childhood. She put her in depth-knowledge into practice while working for several prestigious gemstone companies in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, where she also earned her gemologist and diamond grader diploma from the German Gemmological Association (DGemG). She also holds a Goldsmith Diploma from the School for Gem & Jewelry Design and attended the Hochschule Trier, Department for Gemstones and Jewellery in Idar-Oberstein.
In 2000, Sylvia founded QAS Switzerland GmbH, a gemstone wholesaler specialised in Jadeite Jade, with customers across Europe, USA and Asia. Besides running the wholesale business, she also created bespoke jewelry for selected costumers. With Spheni Switzerland she wants to further grow this business area and looks very much forward to offer her well rounded know-how and create a new experience in buying jewelry to end customers.
